Digital Channels Before Analog Channels?

Hey guys, I have a Samsung T240HD 24" Monitor/HDTV and have a quick question regarding analog/digital channels.

It seems that the regular cable channels such as 1-70 are analog and there is quite a bit of noise on screen. However, there are channels such as 101-1, 103-32, 104-57, etc. that seem to be digital versions of the analog channels because the picture is much better.

Is there anyway to get these channels to come first rather than the analog channels when switching channels? The digital channels seem to be placed at random on these higher up channel numbers with no discernible pattern which makes finding them particularly hard.

Not really. Only thing you can do is set up your favorites list in your TV. Samsung has that option on the remote.

And on a side rant this digital conversion is one of the most half assed, inconvenient transistion I've seen. I've got Comcast and it seems like the local station digital channels are shuffled around weekly. And depending on the time of the day the digital station isn't even on. So one week it might be 110.3. Then another week it might be 19.1. Then another week it's 8.1. Then depending on the time it might not be on at all.

Bleh.

You're blaming the digital transition for Comcast's issues? They choose to shuffle their channels around.

I just use an antenna and from my perspective its been very smooth.

I don't care who's fault it is. It's a pain in the ass. And regardless if it's Comcast or the networks fault it's all lumped under the digital transition growing pains.

While I do miss sports networks, I enjoy the money in my pocket more;)

I know it'll never happen but I dream of customized cable packages...I'd gladly pay $20 for 4 or 5 channels.
