Digital Camrea Questions

Iam in search of getting a new digital camera and really want some advice . The one complain i had before with my camera was the speed between each picture . Sometimes it would take 2-3 sec before i could take another picture because it was still saving to the memory card. I had the Kodak DC-4800 and also have used the pentax opti s ( 4.0 mega pixil one). Both of them seem to have the same problem . I notice when i use my regular 35mm camera i can get alot more pictures in a set amount of time vs digital cameras that ihave tried.

Also i have noticed when i use my camera a take a picture i hear it the noise that it took the picture but then notice the picture didnt take .

Please advise what cameras i should look into to purchase . I like having the ability of being able to do advance featurs like adding lens if i would like. Alot of the regular digital cameras dont allow for this .

Your always going to get somewhat of a delay when the camera shoots and then saves the image on the memory card. Some cards are faster than others, most top of the line cameras are about the same when saving. Usually if you hear the shutter sound and the picture has not shot yet it;s because you are using a fill flash or red eye reduction, one of the modes. As far as the memory do a search out or go here:

Compact flash

Good luck.
