I am thinking of buying a digital camera the kodak DC3200 to be exact. It is only for leisure use to take pics of the family and other... Anybody have experience with it or have a better camera to suggest. Price is the biggest factor... I still want decent quality but don't want to pay mega bucks for it.

My recommendation is to get a leftover Kodak DC280. It's basically the exact same model as the new DC3400 but about half the price. Compare the specs, they are 99% identical!

I've also got the Kodak DC280. Picture quality is great. For general use, pics of the family and friends, etc. it's a good deal. My only wish is that it had a better optical zoom, it's only 2X. Other than that, I love it and for a guy with absolutely no photography experience, I was taking great pictures on the first day out of the box. :)

BTW - buy.com has it for less than $400
