The thing I want is optical zoom. The more zoom it has the better. Ideally 10x zoom.

I'd like to be able to do 8x10 prints, but that might be puishing it for price. 4x6 would be nice though.

The only true requirment. I want something easy to use. Something with a docking station maybe.

Kodak CX6445 4 Megapixel 4X optical zoom $149.99 (6905977)

Noticed that in the hot deals forum. Not sure if 4 MPixel is enough though.

Docking station? Kodak or HP are the only ones....i think?

I know nothing of those cameras...I'd push Sony, Canon or Nikon...maybe olympus or fuji as well. Olympus is going to give you the most optical zoom...but i could be wrong.

8x10's a 4 megapixel would be sufficient...3.2 would even work..

4 should be fine. I don't like Kodak digital cameras but supposedly they are getting to be a better quality digital.

LMAO. 10x optical zoom? And you want it Black Friday cheap? And with a docking station?

Agreed - regarding the likeness of Kodak. I can't deal with their bad picture quality and tend to lean towards Canon cameras whenever possible.

My selling point is low light noise. The Canon s400 i bought seemed to have a lot of reviews saying that low light noise is basically non existent. And i've used it in low light and i don't see much noise at all.

How much for a low cost 4 MPixel version? I guess 3x optical zoom shold be the requirment based upon previous laughter.

That's an excellent selling point. Most digicams I've used take CRAP pictures when you're inside and don't use the flash. I wish I could just rent one and take it on a trip to the zoo so I could be sure the picture quality would meet or exceed my expectations...

I got my S400 about six months ago or so for $318. And that one is 5MP.

Canon is coming out with a 5MP 10x zoom with image stabilization soon. Might want to hold off. They have a 3MP one now for under $400.

Is it an update of the PowerShot S1 IS? If so, I think that's going to be my next camera.
