Digital Camera suggestions

I'm selling my Minolta X1 so I can get a faster shot-to-shot small as possible camera.

My considerations so far are:

Sony T-9 (bit pricey)
The Fuji Film Z1 (not sure on the quality)
Cannon SD550 (Wider than I'd like)
Casio Exilim EX-Z750 (All around good package and price)

My main must haves are super fast shot to shot times, I want to be able to hit the button and it take the picture as near to instant as possible and the time from one photo to the next to be just as fast if possible. I want it to be able to do full motion video at 640x480 @ 30 fps if possible and lastly I want to be able to fit it into my pocket without hardly noticing its there.

Anyone have any suggestions or input into the matter?

Repostx50. YADCT.

Casio EX-S500/600
Canon SD450

Those are at the top of my list.

? I don't care that others think about my camera I just want one that performs well and fits in my pocket.

That helped give me some new ideas but still not sure, the Casio Exilim EX-Z750 is actually pretty nice looking and is nice that it has some manual controls.

I don't have a V-series, but a Z-series (the Kodak Z7590). To help answer some of your questions though, here are some links:

Steve's Digicams review of the V550

DPReview Kodak Talk Forum
(There are mmany friendly and helpful kodak owners here - AND a Kodak factory employee that frequently answers questions!)

The V603 is the "new kid on the block", so I can't find a lot of info on it at the moment.

I REALLY like my Z7590 though and the color reproduction should be comparable (Kodak is known for their color). Some die-hard camera enthusiasts hold the opinion that they 'overdo" the color in the camera's internal processing, but I happen to like it!

Here are some shots I made with my Z7590

Don't buy the Sony, You'll regret it. I'm not sure on the image quality of the Fuji, but most are good, but it should be pretty quick shot to shot.

Why do you say that? Just because it's a Sony or because you have first hand experience with the DSC-T9?

I've done a lot of research and have yet to see a single bad thing abuot the Sony T9 except for the price.

My brother has had the T5 for a few years now and it's a pretty solid camera thus far.

I'm not buying for image or brand at all btw but the Sony seems like a good option IMO.

Sony T-9. Well worth the money if you love the screen size. I havea T5 , solid as heck and I love the screen size. I also have a T-33..love it too!

Well I went to CompUSA and Circuit City today and played with the Sony and Casio and it seems that the Sony T9 is actually slower than the T5 which I thought very odd, the Casio on the other hand was surprising responsive, I'm now leaning more towards the Casio Exilim EX-Z750 seems a all around nice and solid camera and has the bonus of the manual focus options.

I've played with the T9 before (I worked in Digital Sales, mainly highend ie, DSLR, D MF).

I wasn't overly impressed by the image quality and the flash system left alot to be desired.

I may be biased as Sony produced some of the WORST digital cameras on the market.
