Digital Camera Speed Question...

I did a search, and couldn't find what I was looking for, if I missed the thread that answers my question, I apologize and if could just link me to that thread, that'd be great...thanks.

Alright, now for my question, I have a digital camera now, Kodak DX3500 and I'm pleased with it, but I'm in the market for a new one and one of the things I really want on the new camera is the ability to take pictures quickly. The amount of time it takes to take and then store the picture is rather ridiculous in my opinion. So if someone could either tell me the feature that I am looking for, or suggest some cameras that are fast or other things I should try, for example a faster compact flash card or something. The kind of camera I am looking for is less then 400, 3 megapixels is fine and the more zoom the better and of course to be able to take the pictures quickly one after another, and I've done my research and see the A60, and 70, and the Olympus cameras, but I never see any information as to how quickly the camera works.

Thanks for your help/opinions in advance,
Jason
