My mom kind of wants to get a new camera but she doesn't want to go w/a digital camera because she wants to be able to use film to make regular pictures like a regular camera does and would also like the digital features. Is there any cameras like this for somewhat in a decent price ranger?

I'd never heard of a digital/film camera. I suppose that would be cool, but it would probably make more sense just to get one of both. I'd imagine that to combine the two would drive the cost up pretty high.

Bah. Just go with Digital baby ;)

Well, if you have a nice printer, Digital would be nice, yeah....but I don't think you'll find a 35mm/Digital Camera in one.

It is much cheaper to get your self a traditional 35mm film and a digital camera, than a film/digital hybrid.

The top of the line Canon EOS D30 (3.12 milions pixels) would cost you $2500.00, and the top of the line Canon EOS 1v HS body is $2000.00. (over 40 EOS AF lenses)

If you must get a all in one traditional 35mm film/digital camera, then the Nikon F4 or F5 body with Kodak DCS 620x digital back (1.99 milions pixels) is the only option, and cost at least $6500.00 (sugestive retail $10500.00). (over 30 AF lenses & over 30 manual lenses).

Personaly I would get the traditional 35mm & separate digital camera body for less & higher quality, be it the Canon or Nikon flavor.
