Digital camera quality. . .

Ok, in the last month - I've either had the worst luck or everything is going downhill.

One camera I had, the lens jammed in a month. Returned.

The second camera (different) came with a hotpixel. Returned.

The 3rd camera another brand (which I loved) - after about 500 pictures suddenly started displaying artifacts and wavy lines. . . I'm about to RMA it. . .



Does anyone else have these issues. I figured most non techies would not have even noticed the hot pixel for instance.

The wavy lines have only occured a couple of times out of 300 pics - but I find that unacceptable. . .

Thoughts on quality these days?

Anyways, that isn't fingerprints' on the lense, is it? I guess not if it only happened on a few picture.
