Digital Camera Problems

hello, i'm trying to get my digital camera working so i can some snaps of my pretty boat-race to some of my friends.

The Camera:
Mustek VDC-300

The Problem:

whenever i take a picture and try to upload it to my PC it doesn't accept the picture, it shows the little slide show thing of how many pictures there are but no actual picture, the images are still in the cameras built in memory but it won't transfer them to my PC

does anyone have this camera working? can anyone tell me what's going on?

i have a USB connection from the digital camera to my PC, i downloaded the drivers from the mustek site (VDC-300 drivers) installed it all and used the software that came with the drivers, but it won't show the actual pictures i try to upload.
i can use the video camera mode (even though the picture quality is crap cause it's an old camera) where it shows up on screen and you can take pictures, but you can't actually save them, which is weird.
but for some reason i can't upload the pictures i have taken offline with the camera saved in the built in memory
