I've never owned a Canon point-and-shoot, but my new D60 is da bomb!

You probably can't go wrong with either, but if I were in the market for a P&S I would probably go with the Canon because that's what I know. Hope you like whatever you decide on.

3-0 for Cannon, buy it now before the results change. I have a Olympus 3.2mp one and like it since it isn't too small, but all the Cannon's I have seen rock.

the 2500 isn't quite as small as the digital elph line, but it is pretty neat

i say the canon produces better images, while the minolta is just damn cool. Altho, some ppl are fustrated by the autofocus system of the canon in low light, and claim the dimageX does a bit of a better job. I have the s330 and love it. And yes, sometimes the autofocus just won't focus, but it doesn't happen all that often (usually when i forget to turn on the AF lamp :))

Also, remember the s330 is a heafty piece of metal.. so take that into consideration.

im looking at the SAME exact cameras..

s330 vs minolta dimage x..

after reading the review for the minolta, as small and awesome as it looks, it takes crappier pictures and actually has vignetting (sp?), which really sucks. so i was going to get the s330.. but i'm not sure.. im gonna give it a month or so maybe something better will come out..

s330 also has the ability to take long exposures, which means nice shots at nighttime..

i don't know what you mean by "crappier" pictures.... i know someone that has it and i've been impressed with the pictures. I need to see the Elph in person I guess to see if it really is too bulky

I have a S30 and just played with a s330 over the weekend. I must say that both the camera's are well built and feel like they are well built.

I can't say enough for the images from Canon cameras along with their multitude of functions that they offer.

What does everyone have against this Minolta?

Someone give me some disadvantages to it? Soemthing a little more descriptive than "crappier pictures"

I viewed the Canon last night, and I think it may be small enough.

Now to find a good price ;)

I know you're looking at the Canon PowerShot S330 but I have a mint condition (only used once) Canon S200 for $290 shipped via USPS Priority with insurance and tracking, let me know if you are interested. Still have the original box, manuals, CDs, registration card, warranty, cover, LION battery, etc.
