Digital camera memory, can't format or delete files

The memory started acting weird all of a sudden. I can copy pictures from it sometimes but not all pictures ar being written to memory. I tried to format it in the camera and tried to delete the pictures in Windows. Everything fails. Is there anything I can do or am I SOL?
 
Any chance any of your buddies have a digi cam that uses the same format/media as your cam? Most big manufactures of digi cam media have good warranties, so you can probably get an RMA.


Was it viking media by any chance?
 
Do you have or do you have a friend that has a card reader. They could try to format it for you with that. Or, perhaps you might have a PDA that uses the same type of memory. You could try formatting it with that. A good recovery tool for PPC's is something called Storage Tools. Of course, if a PPC isn't something available then that suggestion is useless; sorry.
