DIgital Camera Battery Question Canon Powershot350

Ok I have a Canon Powershot 350 that I had lost the Power adapter for. I just bought a new one at the shack so now I need rechargable batteries. The thing came with Ni_cads but every site that list batteries shows NIMH. I want to be able to charge my batteries with the camera because it takes three AAA. I know the camera is really weak compared to today's standards BUT I like it and does everything we need seeing as we don't print the pictures. DOes nanyone know if this internal charger will charge NIMH or should i JUST BUY SOME NEW nI-CADS?

unless your camera can charge NiMH i wouldn't take the chance...

I did with a diff charger and the Nicd battery just blew up on me.. spewing battery acid all over my battery charger...

You killed your batter charger with nicads? or with NiMH

it was NiCd that killed my charger... or viceversa..

it charges 4 batteries at a time... now it only charges two one side is dead
