Digital Camera advice

OK, need a digi cam. Name two, one around 300, one around 5. My grandfather wants to get my dad a camera for X-Mas, so came to me. My first thought was a Canon, but want to see what others think in the two price ranges listed.

A70 and some nice accessories(good 60x 256mb flash, good 2200mAh batteries/charger) for 300..

I'll let someone else recommend a 500$ cam. Don't really know.

Seriously, Canon makes some great cameras. Even pictures that are taken via "point and shoot" tend to look wonderful.

Yep and everytime we pass by SE 82nd & Johnson Creek Blvd I remind my wife that "Eli lives just up the road and has a Canon PowerShot A60!!!" (seriously).

The best part is the price we paid Buy 1 - Get 1 FREE 😉

1 dozen glazed
1 dozen assorted (4 rasberry, 4 cinammon apple, and 4 glazed)

is the black friday deal at wally world for the Kodak EasyShare CX4310 Digital Camera @ $99.74 a good deal? decent? is it a bad camera at any price? under $100 for a 3 mega pixel seems decent

I personally dislike HP and Kodak digicams.

For $99 I'd recommend finding a Fuji Finepix 2650 on clearance for $99 at places like Walmart, Target, etc.
