Can anyone recommend a good one for under $600? Have to pick one up for my sons 1st B-day, but there are so damn many I have no idea which is better than which. Looking for something that can take pics also, is MiniDV, and has a SD slot (but that seems to be most of them).

Edit: Doesn't have to be 600...a $300 would be fine as long as its a great camera. But I don't want to spend anymore than $600.
