Digital Camcorder, which one to get?

All I want is to video tape and put whatever I taped on my computer and save it on my hard drive. If I can 'tape on the fly' meaning that once recording starts it automatically saves it on my laptop, then that's even better.
I guess one can say that I'm looking for a web-cam just with better quality, and the flip screen to see what I'm filming is a plus. So with price in mind, what can I get that'll fill my requirements?

TIA

I use a Panasonic Palmcorder PV-GS120. Great video quality, and when connected via firewire to a PC, you can capture directly to the hdd, bypassing the MiniDV tape.
