i got analog... if I upgrade to digital, they just take the analog box back, and deploy a digital box, as the box uses the same coax cable, is that all that would be involved, would anyone know...

If you have Cox, they have a "self installation kit."

Basically the new cable box, a 3' piece of coax and a little booklet titled "screwing the cable into the connector for dorks" or something like that.
