I'm looking to buy a mp3 player. I've read some of the posts dealing with it but find them really annoying to read because people either don't say enough, say nothing about the player and just argue with other people, and do other annoying things.

So this is what I would like as an answer:
1. Name of the suggested player
2. Capacity
3. Legitimate reason you, the person suggesting, bought that mp3 player

Do not use the "originally posted by whoever" in repsonses because that just makes it more annoying to read. I appreciate any of your suggestions. Thanks.

Mojoed, Nonameman, damn... didn't see that coming.

Don't get the samsung mt6z. I got that model and I could not fill it up. I would put about 450 Ogg Vorbis q0 songs on there and it only found 392 of them. I could clearly see them and play them through windows, but the player couldn't find them. It also didn't play the last 2 seconds of the songs. It was a little heavy, but very small. I could transfer the songs through windows without 3rd party software.

However, since I could not fully use it, I returned it and bought an Ipod shuffle. It works and I have about 500 songs on there. The only thing I don't like about it is that I can only load songs to it from 1 computer. That sucks since I have a laptop here and my desktop at home. Other than that, it's very light and finds all the songs.

Don't worry Gurck, I transcode all of my FLAC files to aac and not ogg->aac. :)

I should say, I got the 1 GB models of both.

Just bought a Sony Vaio player, 40gb, $249 and it came with 50 free songs at connect.com. Bought it because:

looks nice, comes with remote and dock, works with mp3s now (no need to convert to ATRAC) huge HD, colour screen, can be used for files too, good sound quality. The transfer software is decent, you cant direct copy over mp3s to it, but i found the software works just as easily.
