If you are a digital artist, will Surface Pro work better with Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Wacom Intuos tablet? Or better work on a desktop pc?

Using a tablet with your tablet? :) It should operate the same. The Surface Pro is laptop or ultrabook level hardware (Core i5, 4GB RAM, SSD) so it's definitely capable of doing practically anything a full desktop would do, including using Photoshop CS6 without slowing down.

The advantage of a desktop of course is you can use a higher resolution and larger monitor, though you can do that with the Surface Pro, too, by outputting to a monitor whenever you aren't on the go with it.

The Intuos pen won't work with the Surface Pro, at least not according to this compatibility list, in case you were thinking about using the digitizers between tablets.

The question here: are you looking at using your Wacom tablet as a USB device off of the Surface Pro, or using your Surface Pro as your pen tablet?

I haven't attempted anything with it, and it may be fixed by now (doubtful, I feel like I would have saw it with banners, horns and streamers flying everywhere), but Microsoft and Adobe and Wacom are supposedly working together to get the Wacom features ported over perfectly into the new API.
With the Surface and Windows 8, Microsoft set out to establish a new pen API - problem is, it broke the feature support between Wacom features and Adobe products.

Eventually, it should be perfectly reasonable to refer to a Surface Pro as a more capable Cintiq tablet - but at the moment, I don't believe they've fixed it just yet.

Okay since I got a new MBPr and I think it is time to get rid of desktop PC and use Surface Pro for use with Photoshop CS6 and Wacom Intuous tablet. I was not sure about small screen estate to work on. Or use my MBPr with Photoshop and forget about Surface Pro anyway?
