Digital/Analog cable from combo drive to Audigy 2ZS

I just installed by Audigy 2ZS and I have a combo drive installed that has both digital and analog audio ports. Which one should I plug in from the combo drive to the Audigy. Should I just connect both of them? I guess I'm not really sure what the difference is, between digital and analog audio.
