I ordered a Kodak DX3600 about a month ago from buy.com they still dont' have it. What camera can I get instead...similar features/price.... ~$250, Digital/Optical Zoom, 2.0-2.3 megapixels? Thanks for your input ahead of time.

First do your own research by going to imaging-resource.com dcresource.com and steves-digicams.com then tell us which 2-3 digicams you're considering and we'll help you narrow it down.

You'll get the best possible price if any of these websites carry the camera you're looking for:
dell.com
staples.com
officemax(.)com
officedepot.com
hsn.com

I just used imaging-resource.com's camera finder and found these digicams.

They're all under $300, with zoom, USB, and are currently manufactured.

i had the same dilema, i narrowed it down to three options

1)Nikon 775
2)Canon A20
3)Sony P-50

I ended up choosing the Canon A20 by reading the reviews online and can say that i am very satisfied. It has just been discontinued and no BestBuy, goodguys or other store around was carrying it or had any left. I happened to go into a Circuit city in the middle of Nowhere that had 1 last one, so i bought it. I ordered online and the company canceled my order saying they were backordered. check your area, but these are the 3 i narrowed my purchase down to. or check e-gay.

Thanks. How would you rate the following three cameras:

Canon PowerShot A20

FujiFilm FinePix 2600 Zoom

Kodak DX3600

Of those choices I'd get the Fuji Finepix 2600, best bang for your buck. The challenge is try finding a place which has this camera in stock for a good price. Good luck.

The Nikon Coolpix 775 and Canon S110 are also great cameras but slightly over your budget.
