i just got my digicam in the mail, threw in some batteries and when i turn it on, it beeps at me for about 5 seconds, and whenever i click to take a pic, it just beeps. whats going on? and on the top of the camera in the little screen it is flashing "000"....???

Model number would be helpful. Are the batteries properly installed? Are they fully charged? Is there a memory card in there?

 
ok, i put in my memory card 😛, but whenever i click to take a pic, it still beeps at me. (but now the "000" is gone)

Do you have the lens cover open (if possible to close it)?
 
there is a pic on the top of the camera of a battery with a diagonal line through it..i dont know if that means they are good or bad, although they came out of 2 working remotes...

its not like that...its just a pic of a battery in the corner with a little white line in the center...all 4 batteries work

Then I suggest placing it on the floor and jumping from your kitchen table onto it.
