I remember looking at these guys recently when i was hunting my new digicam. I did some research and remember reading really negative reviews on these guys ... mainly what i read was that after you placed your order you would receive a phone solicitation from them to purchase addon accessories and such and some were told that they could not get their order (at the advertised price) unless they bought these accessories.
So needless to say, i stay away from these types.

My buddy bought a Canon A70 from Top Choice Digital (a NY outfit and on ebay no less)! He was very satisfied with the transaction, delivery, etc... so I guess they are in the 0.01%tile.

I believe my cisco teacher bought from them once. She said that he got a used item when she ordered a new one.

I thought to myself, "Now there's a man who's self-confident! Admitting to the world that he's taking disco lessons."Absolutely true. These guys are mean as hell in person, but great businessmen, and dominate the (honest) photo trade in NYC.
best way to do camcorder deals is to get a quote/pricelist from a AUTHORIZED (in this case Sony) RESELLER like http://nycv.com/ you email them at thier website with the camera you want in the subject and you will get a pricelist sent to you....
print that out along with the fact that they are a authorized sony reseller.... take it down to SEARS and they will 9 times out of 10 pricematch it........ just did this a few weeks ago still works in most cases.....
got a trv 22 for 569.99.......
never get the warranties at places like sears go to http://www.bhphotovideo.com within 30 days of buying the camera and get the MACK 4 year extended warranty added on to your sony warranty for a mere 59 bucks....
sears won't ussually give you any sort of hassle at all...... if they do go to another sears buy the camera go home then a few days latter print out the pricelist and sony authorized info and write on the printout somewhere they can't miss it... something like "man you got scre*wed take this camera back it's too much money..... go back to where you bought it and show them this authorized sony dealer price and if they wont match it... just return it and call the number xxx=xxx=xxxx and order it for $569 - Chuck."
the 1 out of ten failure will ussually turn into a sucess....

I have ordered from an NYC camera store before(MPSuperstore) and was satisifed. I received my G3 for $200 less than every other store, so i figured what the hell. I was solicited to buy more addons, but told him that I had all i needed. I still got a new camera.
These guys advertize very low prices in Popular Photography Magazine as well.
2 Months ago, I bought my Minolta Dimage 7 HI from another reputed seller, but used the advert of this shop in Pop Photography Magazine for a Credit Card BVG - Sure enough, I got $250 back from the Credit Card Program.
Use them to you advantage - Dont buy from them.
