digicam- canon a70 or minolta s414?

thanks for the help, everybody.. I wound up buying the s414.. went to buy.com last night to buy a mickey mouse webcam for my daughter's roommate, they had the camera for 299, no tax, ships free, found a 15.00 coupon, and said "sold!".

now I wait.

I think the minolta takes videos in .mov format while the a70 takes them in .avi format, if that matters. enjoy the camera.

Newegg has it for $274 with free shipping....No tax as long as you are not in CA either.

On top is a large and very readable (but not illuminated) monochrome LCD that displays all the important and frequently changed camera settings.

But I guess that is just for the top confusing at first glance.

I had the 404 and I like the size of the A70 better more portable. but the 414 is alot of bang for the buck 🙂.

Get the minolta, optical zoom is what important, not digital zoom. And that extra megapixel would also allow you to blow it up much bigger (digital zoom for you). I love minolta cameras.
