OK, I have a Sony DSC-T7 camera. The camera has 3 modes to connect via the USB interface:
1.Normal (usb 2.0 I think)
2.PTP
3.PictBridge
I personally like to use PTP because I already have my PC setup to save files to a specific folder, and I don't have to stop the USB camera service before unplugging it. I do find however that PTP is a bit slower than when in, "normal," mode.
My problem is that with the PTP connection there is an options in Windows to delete the files on the memory device after transfer, which I have enabled, but the files don't delete. They stay on the memory card, and this is annoying.
If I connect in, "normal," mode I can delete the files off the camera from my PC, but like I said above, I would rather use PTP mode. Why is there an option to delete files if it is not going to work.
Has anybody else experienced this with their digital cameras?
TIA
