Ugh, this is so aggravating. So part of my property was once a gas station. About 15 years ago the tanks were removed and the huge holes filled in with a mixture of rock and soil. Now I'm wanting to dig holes to plant some trees and it's rough going. After about 5 inches I just can't get my shovel in anymore. It's a bunch of packed rock ranging from one inch to the size of a fist. Suggestions for how to best get through this? I'm thinking about renting an electric breaker or demolition hammer. Think that will do it? I only need to go down another 6 or so inches.
Thanks!
