Is ther a big diffrence in the VE chip and the regualr Chip on the 32 ddr versions?

The ve IS the on with dual monitor support and s-video out.
S-video out on the card means it has rage theater chip?

Thanks for info

There is a HUGE difference in performance. The Radeon DDR 32 and Radeon DDR LE will CREAM the VE into the floor. It is crippleed with a 64bit bandwidth and 1 pipeline (normally 128bit and 2). The only reason you should think about getting the VE is for the dual head support. If not, definitely go for the Radeon DDR LE for about $83 @www.newegg.com... and you can apply the registry hack and overclock it using powerstrip. After this, you will essentially have a Radeon 32DDR "normal"

Also, I hear that the VE has a slightly lower RAMDAC and the LE at newegg.com is now down to $77!!!

yeah the VE has 1 pipe instead of 2, no T&l and only 64bit bus to ddr ram. it runs at 183mhz though, instead of 166 or 148 in the case of the radeon and LE. If you really need the svideo out, go to newegg, they have an LE with tvout for $89 shipped as well as the $77 no tv out one

It will give a nice boost over a TNT2 and performance on par with a MX. Read more about it here

Stop talking rubbish PeAK. It's not even close to a GF2 MX.

rage theatre chip is what they started using instead of the brooktree 868 series. They first started using it in the all in wonder 128 32mb . Its for tv tuner and video in stuff. I think they still use a brook tree or chrontel for the tv out. so definitly the ATI cards with out video in or video out dont have a rage theatre
