Difficulty playing YouTubes using Mozilla

Due to medical issues, I was off the networks and did not use my notebook computer for over a couple months (ie, between May & June). Since coming back on line, something has changed regarding the ability to play YouTubes using Mozilla FF.

In the limited account I get the message:
"The Adobe Flash Player or an HTML5 supported browser is required for video playback.
Get the latest Flash Player"

However, with the same FF and Flash version, the YouTubes are able to be played in the administrative account, but only for a limited time and then the same message (above) appears disabling playback. (When this happens, I also get a message bar near top of FF stating that "Some Plugins required by this page have been blocked for your protection".)

I updated the Flash Player (both accounts, but that did not really change the system's aforementioned behavior.

It appears that some aspect of the FF software including the Flash Player software trips to block/prevent YT playback.

I tried turning various things off in FF settings including blocking Pop-ups, all without success.

I use Centurion's "Smart Restart" for security. So what I see is that always after a fresh reboot, YouTubes via the network can be played for a limited time in the administrative account (say five - ten minutes) and then the blocking occurs.

In the limited access account that uses the same FF/Flash, YT blocking is permanent.

No obvious settings in FF seem available to obviate the YT blockage.

A guess is that in one of the applications (ie, FF or Flash) something is going out over the networks to solicit enabling of the block as FF/Flash has already shown that it is capable of playback of old YouTubes provided that they are not blocked. Otherwise, everything else that I use with the FF browser appears to work properly/without issue.

It does seem now that Mozilla FF is sort of becoming a maintenance intensive application requiring too much updating particularly because of my use of "Smart Restart" (which is somewhat like Sandbox")..

Anyways, any insights to be able to get the YouTubes working?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a corrupt cache. Try emptying the FF and Flash caches.
Or try reinstalling FF and Flash
