This isn't so much a hot deal. Rather, it's more of a hard to find item. I have been looking for 14 Watt compact fluorescent candelabra base bulbs for over a year. Most retailers, online and B&M, only carry up to 7 watts or 25 watt incandescent equivalents.
Last week I did another Google search and finally came up with this. If you have a chandelier which uses the candelabra style bulbs, you are using a lot of electricity. Even if you only have a 4 bulb chandelier, you are using 160 watts, probably more than any other light in your house. If you run an air conditioner in the same room, those bulbs also throw a lot of heat. Finally, the candelabra style bulbs only last about 1500 hours so you are also having to replace them every 6 months. The 14 watt bulbs I ordered are 55 watt incandescent equivalents, throw little heat, and last for 8,000 hours. I ordered a case of 12 bulbs, enough to replace all the 40 watt incandescents in 2 chandeliers. :light:
