I had a struggle installing a Aeroflow 7040 in a IC-7 board..had to remove a small heat sink from a nearby small chip to get the HSF spring lock to clear and then had to really bare down to get the HSF spring to lock..the damn board was flexing it was that hard. I couldn't check my cpu because of waiting on a PSU but needless to say..I'm somewhat concerned after having to put that much pressure on a cpu. I'm wondering/hoping if this is typical install with this HSF/mobo combo?
IMO,a simple screw rachet would sure make the process safer and easier and give the user alittle more piece of mind when he thru the power switch.
