Does Mathematica or MathCAD solve differential equations?

I have to take the last math required in my curriculum this spring. I haven't had a calculus course for over 2 years. I am gonna need serious help.

I'm not sure, but I imagine so. Mathematica (or so I've been told) does just about everything.

yeah i think mathematica does differential equations.

as do some graphing calculators.

i did them by hand... ;-) wave and heat equations were quite annoying to deal with.

When I took differential equations, just before the wheel was invented, we did them by hand. A typical homework assignment took 3-4 hours. Now, I own a TI-89, and differential equations aren't math anymore-they are typing!

No one should have trouble with DE today. :p
