Different versions of Samsung 770P?

Before I call the Samsung australian office I´ll give this forum a shot.
I´ve just spent half an hour with Samsung´s indian call center without getting satisfactory answers. The first woman I spoke to replied with this gem when I asked
Q: What type of panel is used in the 770P?
A: It´s white.
Q: No I mean what type of panel is used for the actual screen
A: It´s an LCD screen.
Rephrased the question once more and got the reply
It´s 17 inch.
Since I still wasn´t happy with the answer she passed me on to a "senior" and after that I got to an even more senior technician before I decided to call it quits.
Well they claim that the australian version of the 770P is using a TN panel. I thought all TN panels where 6 bit and not able to produce 16.7 million colours nor reach a viewing angle of 178 degrees or a 1500:1 contrast ratio for that matter.

So my question is. Is there an error on the samsung 770P WebPage or have they managed to manufacture a new TN panel that actually can do 16.7 million colors, 178/178 viewing angle and 1500:1 contrast ratio?
After spending 30 minutes with the stupid callcenter I´d like to inflict pain on someone. Maybe sue Samsung for false advertisement.:|

The Samsung 770P is an S-PVA+response time accelerator, I'm pretty certain of that. They made a mistake. ( Don't trust the phone support people for anything as you can see :( ) It has been tested by BeHardware. No TN can get that kind of contrast. As for the case colors I have no clue. They 'say' in the PDF it's offered in different colors but all I've seen is white on stores that do sell that monitor.

BTW, this is the panel that monitor uses: http://www.samsung.com/Products/TFTLCD/Monitor/LTM170E8/LTM170E8.htm

770P review: http://www.behardware.com/articles/594-...ng-syncmaster-770p-pva-6ms-1500-1.html

I was interested in this monitor too but it's not available in the US.

Well I have at least seen a glossy black (eventhough they still use the same white picture for it) on some online stores. Just learnt today it´s supposed to be available in red and blue as well.

Where did you get the information about which panel(LTM170E8) the 770P uses? When reading the specs for the panel and can see that that must be the one they are using, but I´d like to see it in print:)
