Different IPs or Host header names for multiple sites

If hosting multiple websites on a win 2000 server. What gives the best performance:

1. Each website gets its own IP adress

or

2. The server only uses 1 IP adress and the sites are distinguesed by host header names.

There isn't a performance difference at all. The process for each is so fast that you'll see real difference if for both situations you're using the same connection. Extra IP's don't get you extra bandwith, but simply extra IP numbers. If extra IP's are free, then great, but it's not worth any money if you're going to pay for it.
