Different connections for different browsers

At our office we have 2 connections, one is a wired connection that requires proxy server configuration, and the other is a wireless connection that is direct connect to an outside line without a proxy so we can test from both internal and external connections.

Here is the issue, I want to set up to have one browser use the proxy (wired) connection and the other to use the non proxy (wireless) connection but I haven't found anything out there about whether this is possible or not. It's just getting annoying turning the proxy on and off again.

Any help, even if it is a "can't be done" would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Let me reiterate.

Lets say I have 2 cards, both plugged into different networks. I configure FF to use the proxy and the other to not use a proxy. This does not tell the browsers WHICH network to use, so the FF would work fine while the IE would give an error since it is still looking at the network that requires the proxy. At least this is what is happening now.

setup a static route to your proxy server and then set a default gateway on the other NIC.

just make sure you never have two default gateways.
