My cable modem's cable is getting battered, and it looks like some of the wires are coming out from underneath the steel cap. Is there a difference in peformance in cables? Or can I just buy a standard Coaxial cable for around $5.99, and it will give same durability and performance as a "oxygen-free copper, Golden tipped, masterwork cable" that I see going for $49.99.
