differences in ram (ECC, Non-ECC, Registered, Un-buffered)

what are the differences and do any of these things affect overclocking or the performance of ram? any tech geeks willing to share their wisdom? :)

Well, I can tell you that unless you have a motherboard specifically built for it, you aren't even going to be able to use ECC ram. And no, registered ram overclocks no better than non-registered ram, even if your motherboard supports it, which most don't.
