Differences from ATX and MicroATX?

Just wondering what is the difference other than size and that the micro version has less PCI and less DIMM expansio slots. I was really wondering whether or not a micro MB will fit correctly in my already bought midplus sized atx tower. because I am looking into the Asus P4B533-VM which is the micro version of the Asus P4B533-V.

thanks.

mATX boards are shorter (4 card positions instead of 7), and originally were to cope with a less powerful PSU.

Everything else, mounting holes, connectors et al, is the same as for full size ATX.

regards, Peter

Matx boards often lack some of the bios options possessed by their big brothers. They usually have only 1 or 2 fan headers. Everything else fits, unless you happen to have a really old/unusual atx case without the proper holes to mount a Matx board. You may need a new or modified i/o shield, depending.....

Why not buy the full-sized version if you have a full-sized Case?
