The Via KT133A is the first chipset that officially supports 133/266 MHz FSB. The older Via KT133 was only supporting 100/200 MHz FSB. You could still run the old chipset at a higher frequenzy but then it was a sort of overclocking when running it at 133 MHz.

no, even though most kt133 motherboards offer 133mhz speed, none of them can run at higher than 115mhz. only the newer kt133a chipset can do 133mhz.

The 133 in KT133 confuses alot of people.... the 133 is for the memory clock speed. KT133 supports 100FSB and 100 or 133 Memory clock speed so 100/100 or 100/133.... KT133A Supports 100/100 100/133 or 133/133.

KT133 was nearly impossible to get a FSB speed over 115... KT133A will usually hit 150 or so.
