I was just wondering why v.92 is said to be faster than v.90. What other features (if any) does it have?

I thought the only difference was that v.92 supported stuff like call-waiting. I think its called dial-on-hold or something.

The actual name is Modem On Hold, but that's the general idea. V.92 also adds "quick-connect," which can shorten the time it takes your modem to establish a connection with the remote one.

Well, if it is 56k, then it can only have a certain amount of upload (I think it was 26400 or 28800.)
