I'm seeking another portable backup USB EHD. I see:


WD 4TB My Passport Portable External Hard Drive, Black - WDBPKJ0040BBK-WESN

WD My Book 4TB USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive WDBBGB0040HBK-NESN Black

Specs and pricing are similar but not exact. Both show USB 3.0, but since I have an older notebook, I'm not sure that matters.

Use will be file storage and backups only. No heavy daily use.
 
I prefer 2.5" portable ones. 2.5" disks run cooler, take a lot smaller space and are more shock resistant.
