If you're not an experienced overclocker or only plan to oc a little, the Asus will be a better choice. Well, I don't plan on going SLI but I went with the A8N-SLI Premium for several reasons:
1. Heatpipe for nf4 chipset - nice and silent compared to a load fan
2. X2 compatible right out of the box w/ stock bios
3. Overclocks really well. I only started oc'ing lastnight w/ the board but have my memory running at 300 2.5-4-3-5 1T w/out any tweaking
4. 3 PCI slots(a lot of boards only have 2) - I need to use a specific firewire card for my iPod. I also have a pci ide controller card. And I just ordered a PVR-TV
Tuner card
5. Also, for a new system builder/tweaker. Almost everything can be tweaked within the bios, where on a DFI, you have to changed jumpers or flip the sli switch on the motherboard itself.
JMHO, hope it helps!
