Sorry if this is a repetition, in such a case, show me the path to where it has been discussed before.
Otherwise 🙂 , kindly add your wisdom too the pool of knowledge we can gather in this thread. If we feel like it. Thank you.

I personally have a 1700+ tbred b, but I think the same thing holds true for the 2100+ b's. The b's overclock MUCH better than the a's, with my cpu, people have been easily hitting 2.1-2.2ghz with the right stepping, and the 2100 b's are hitting a bit above that. Check out the overclocking database at http://www.overclockers.com

tbred a core had difficulty going past 2ghzish....more like 1.9ghzish..

thats why amd redid the core (well kinda, jst added a few more layers, etc) and introduced tbred b which is going way past 2ghz

in short, tbred a would hit a wall around 1.8-1.9ghz...maybe 2ghz
tbred b will go past....around2.2-2.3is somehwat normal with 2100+

2100as can go way past 1.9 ive got my 2000+TB a at 1.9 330fsb with a voltage of 1.75 and no tweakign aside from fsb/multiplier and voltage

All in all in other words; it's unhealthy to get a rev A if you're planning on oc'ing, unhealthy indeed 🙂
Bad side is that if you order from a place where they don't show stepping, you might be in for a surprise :/
hmm, if the store in question would happen to get in new Tbred xp2100+'s soon, would that indicate B or could it mean anything?
