Difference in Intel 80gig model #'s

The Egg lists two Intel X25-M 80gig models, G2R5 and G2K5. The R5 is out of stock and the listed price is quite a bit more than the K5. Did the K5 replace the R5 and are there any differences between these two models? Much chance the G2 price will come down when G3 is released? Thanks.

Pricing can vary depending on sales and promotions. Promotions can include channel rebates which we don't see beyond lower pricing. Heck, sometimes the retail boxed versions go for cheaper than OEM versions!
