difference in brands of geforce 3?

What are the differences in the cards that you know of? You know, besides the speed of ram. Different companies look better or have better quality components? How is Gainward or visiontek, better than leadtek or asus?

VisionTek and ELSA are the same card, made by VisionTek. Very Good Quality. VisionTek made the nVidia Reference Boards. Gainward is arguably the best, as it can overclock slightly higher than others. The ASUS typically gets the highest scores for it's clock speed(only by a tiny amount), but has trouble with the latest drivers so det 11.01s have to be used. LeadTek has AWFUL memory cooling, worse than MSI which does not use heatsinks of any kind on the memory. LeadTek's Ramsinks actually keep the heat on the modules.

MSI uses heatsinks for the memory chips now.

Also, different brands generally mean different levels/qualities of RF filtering, which affect the 2D quality of these cards.

yes lore thats what I was wondering about the most. The filtering. Which one looks the best? Asus is what I was leaning towards because of the V.R. glasses and heatsink..even though that will be replaced in a few months.

peanut and the gang are working with an undisclosed company on a "gamer's" geforce 3.

they claim to have:

upped the ramdac
shortened the paths to the ramdac
blue orb cooling standard
fixed the RF problems
DVI standard
Lower price then even the visiontek.
