Difference from standard audio and this

I'd say listen to the speakers through the integrated first, then dish out if you need to. The sound will probably be better on the Fortissimo III, but if you're gaming, get an Audigy 2 ZS since it uses few CPU cycles.

I do game, but not a whole lot. I'd like to keep the card under $50 or so eliminating an Audigy 2.
 
I have tried MANY soundcards in my time and the onboard audio, at least in my P4C800-E Deluxe, is crap! I'm somewhat of an audiophile or at least consider my taste in musical reproduction to be of very high standards, but on a budget. 😉

If you must keep it under $50, I'd take the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz...simply because it's tried and true. Very stable, never a driver issue. Though, the card you've linked to is very good, too. In fact, it uses a similar, if not the same, audio chip as the TBSC. I would imagine the audio quality to be the same or very similar. 🙂
