Hi, see that Western Digital has some 80GB and 120GB harddrives which are 8MB cache...

i want to know what is the difference btwn a 2mb cache and 8mb cache drive..

Toms Hardware rated the Special Edition (8mb cache) hard drives as fast or faster than SCSI ones. I think you only notice a difference when moving and saving huge files, but I wouldn't know I don't have it...

The thing is that even if we gvae the drive 20% total bonus, the drive is only a single component. I have swtiched this drvie in and out with my 80g seagate Barr. IV and after 10 seconds, the difference is imperceptible.
