Difference between XP home and XP professional

Is it similar to the differences between ME and 2000?, I know that XP home will be more stable than ME (or at least I very much hope).

I haven't looked into XP much but the upgrade to XP Home seems quite cheap.

No the comparison is nothing like ME to 2000. All versions of XP use the NT/2000 core code. The professional version just has more features than the Home version.
