Hey, was wondering what the difference was between watt and watts. I saw this and it just confused me

Haha! One of those stupid English glitches. They are the same.

On a side note, do not believe that those speakers are actually 800 Watts. That is only if one of the speakers blows out, fuses together and catches on fire. At .000001sec. before meltdown, the thing will pull 800 Watts, but not during normal operation.

It's called basic grammar. The form of the word depends on the usage.

Example:

This is a 50,000 dollar car. The car cost 50,000 dollars.

This is a 400 watt speaker. The speaker can handle 400 watts.

Is it really that simple? I re-read that ad 5 times looking for a difference between watt and watts. Sure I saw them but they clearly meant the same thing. I'm confused now.

And those speakers may put out 800W peak for a total of 0.00001 s, but there's no way you're gonna get 800W RMS out of 'em.

I probably just confused the sh!t out of you, but that's what you get for making this thread.
