Difference between these broadband plans...?

what's the price difference ? For $5 or *maybe* $10 month more, I'd do the 1Mb upload. Otherwise not worthwhile...

for $20/mo. and you're just doing it for the sake of torrents ? No. You're not going to be hindered that much in terms of getting things faster.

Now if you upload vids and other large files to webhosts, ftps. etc... then sure $20/mo. would be worthwhile. I have 1Mb upload and it's great for doing webstuff... I can't stand waiting.

its 2x as fast, it will only make your torrents upload faster, it wont do anything to DLs

but if you put anything on the web like pictures and files 1mb up is very very nice

i wish i coudl get that instead of teh craptastic 384k i have now

Well since BT is somewhat proportional, a higher upload may slightly increase your DL but for $20, it isn't worth it.

Yeah, I was wondering if it would increase my downloads significantly if I could share more. I have road runner in austin right now but im not sure what the download/upload is. Im moving in 2 weeks and I'm trying to decide what plan to get.

I will not be uploading pictures or video or anything.

ratio only applies if they enforce it
I'm on a torrent list that enforces it. If you ever dip below a certain ratio of upload to download, your speed totally slows down. This is not for individual torrents, but rather for all things I download (ie I have to login so they can track my usage)
