Difference between these Athlon 3700+?

Newegg sells two different versions. One has 520 reviews for it, the other, which costs $3 more, has 1 review.

Monarch has the 3700+ for $20 less, which is where I was planning on purchasing it from. Is this going to be ok? I hope they don't carry the one Newegg sells that only has 1 review on it, maybe because it's an inferior chip? I'm a moron when it comes to this stuff and that's why I came here 🙂

The one that has 1 review has differnt stepping... isnt it E6 or E7 instead of E4?

I just got the 3700+ which had 1 review and I got my OC'd to 2.6 GHZ

I bought this version from ZZF and it's runninng 2900 at 1.56V.

The first one listed(BN) is the E4 stepping, the second one listed(CF) is E6 stepping.

I would also like to know about which is the better stepping for overclocking. I have a watercooled setup, and need a new cpu.

Also, which would be better, one of these 3700+ SanDiego's or a 148 Opteron?
