Huh? Try clarifying this babble?
GeForce2 Ti 200 and the GeForce2 Ti were both clocked at 250/400 (as I said in my original post, the specs are the same). >>
huh, what? i said there is only one model of the gf2 ti. the 2 cards you listed are the same >>
OK, go into your local best buy. These are on the shelf, a GeForce2 Ti 200 and a GeForce2 Ti (no 200). 200 is priced at $199, (no 200) is priced at $149. 2 different sku's, etc. They are the VisionTek Xtasy line. When reading the specs, they had all the exact same specs on speeds, ram, etc.
So the two cards listed are not the same, at least at Best Buy, where maybe this is some marketing deal. But the boxes were clearly labeled as different models. VisionTek's site sucks, it lists the Xtasy line as having 200mhz core clock where the boxes in store labeled as 250mhz (funny, it has a sticker on it saying Now 250Mhz!). And it only lists 3 models, 6764 (GF3...is it the Ti 500?) 5564 (MX400) and 5332 (which is just the MX200). NOW, reading a press release on their site I glean this:
Featuring the new Titanium? graphics processing units by NVIDIA® Corporation, GeForce3 Ti 500, GeForce3 Ti 200 and GeForce2 Ti are the new processors driving VisionTek's Xtasy 6964, Xtasy 6564, and Xtasy 5864, respectively. All three products are expected to ship to Best Buy, CompUSA, Electronics Boutique, Fry's and Gamestop during the first few weeks of October 2001. So there is the Ti only (5864). Of course no specs on their site for these except the 6964. Their site really bites, their homepage doesn't even load for me.
Xtasy 6964, featuring the Ti 500 chipset, performs up to one and a half times faster than the original GeForce3, setting new levels of performance for the gaming enthusiast. OK, this one makes sense
Xtasy 6564, powered by the Ti 200 chip, makes GeForce3 technology architecture available to a broader audience. Ok, different chip. Got it from anandtechs review.
Xtasy 5864, using the GeForce2 Ti engine, offers higher levels of graphics performance for mainstream computers by delivering 1 billion pixel/sec. rendering power and delivering 6.4GB/sec. of bandwidth for the first time in this market segment. Aha! Hmm...what is the difference between the GeForce2 Ti engine and the Ti200 Chip? From the specs...no difference. Hmm
So clearly we have a card here that was not addressed by anandtech's review.
Here is the 5864 at compusa

and some specs snipped:
Graphics Chipset: GeForce2 Ti
Graphics Core: 250MHz, 256-bit 2D/3D GPU
Memory/Interface: 64MB DDR/128-bit wide
Memory Clock: 400 MHz SDR Equivalent
Memory Bandwidth: 6.4 GB/sec.
Fill Rate (texels): 2B/sec.
2D/3D resolution (max): 2048 x 1536 @ 75Hz
Priced at $179.99, EB has it for $149.99 (same price as best buy).
My research continues, I can't find specs on the 200 anywhere, but I know they match the above. Hence why I started this thread in the first place! Hope this clears things up for people.
